Workforce Development Grant (Job Redesign+)

WDG(JR+) Payment Schedule

Who pays what, and when. Choose your company type, enter the project cost, pick the payment schedule in your quotation and tell us about your SkillsFuture Enterprise Credit. Your funding is explained below, with and without GST.

Your company is

SME: operating revenue of S$100 million or less, or 200 employees or fewer. Non-SME: above both.

S$
Grant cap of S$150,000. The grant is capped at S$150,000 per project. Where 70% (SME) or 50% (Non-SME) of the project cost is more than that, you pay the amount above the cap.
Your payment schedule (as set out in CET Global's quotation)

Whichever schedule applies to you, the Programme Partner pays the grant in two parts: 30% at Milestone 1 and 70% at the Final Milestone.

SkillsFuture Enterprise Credit (SFEC)

SFEC covers up to 90% of your share, up to your balance. It never covers GST.

1How your funding works

All amounts in Singapore dollars. Figures are estimates, subject to approval by the Programme Partner and the SFEC administrator. GST is 9% on the full project cost and is not covered by the grant or by SFEC.

Career Conversion Programmes (CCPs) · salary support
Up to 90%
of each employee's monthly salary, capped at S$7,500 a month, for employees aged 40 and above or long-term unemployed. Up to 70%, capped at S$5,000 a month, for other employees. Paid for the training period of the programme, typically 3 to 6 months.

Beyond this project. CCPs help you broaden your talent pool or transform your workforce by reskilling mid-career new hires or existing employees into growth job roles with good longer-term prospects. They sit alongside WDG(JR+) and SFEC in SWDA's Enterprise Workforce Transformation Package, and CET Global can arrange one after your WDG(JR+) project is completed, or as a separate standalone engagement.

ActivateMode · when to raise it after WDG(JR+)Who it is forWho receives the supportTypical use
Place-and-TrainRaise when the client must hire into the redesigned rolesMid-career jobseekers you hireEmployer (salary support)Filling hard-to-hire growth roles by training career switchers on the job
Job Redesign ReskillingRaise when the redesigned roles are filled by existing staffAny existing employee moving into a growth roleEmployer (salary support)Redeploying staff into redesigned roles instead of retrenching and rehiring
Attach-and-TrainRaise when the client wants to try a candidate before hiringJobseekers on work attachmentTrainee (training allowance); host employer co-funds at least 10%Assessing fit before a permanent hire, in sectors with strong placement prospects

Each CCP has its own Programme Partner, eligible roles and end date, so check the listing before proposing. The figures are the maximum salary support or allowance at the chosen tier; the actual amount follows the CCP's approval and the employee's salary.

Example (SBF client deck): one existing employee reskilled under the CCP for SME Professionals after a job redesign, at the maximum rate of S$7,500 a month for 3 months, brings S$22,500 of salary support. Course fees for structured CCP training attract a separate 70% subsidy.

2Good to know

Before you apply

Do not pay CET Global anything, and do not sign any contract or purchase order, until the grant application has been submitted on the Business Grants Portal. Payments or contracts made before submission make the project ineligible. If you intend to use Enhanced SFEC, indicate it on the application form.

How the grant is paid

The grant never passes through your hands. The Programme Partner (SBF or SNEF) pays it directly to CET Global, so you pay only your share, plus GST, and there is no grant claim for you to file. Each grant payment is released only after the Partner has checked and approved the deliverables of that milestone.

How SWDA defines the two milestones

Milestone 1 · 30% of project costFinal Milestone · 70% of project cost
DocumentationDetailed project plan, submitted after project approvalCompleted project report and supporting documents (testimonial, photographs, surveys)
Your shareSME 30% · Non-SME 50% of Milestone 1SME 30% · Non-SME 50% of Final Milestone
GrantSME 70% · Non-SME 50% of Milestone 1SME 70% · Non-SME 50% of Final Milestone

Payment schedules CET Global may offer

The standard schedule, and the minimum in CET Global's quotation and invoicing, is 2 payments of 30% / 70%, matching SWDA's milestones. Case by case, to suit a project's scope, effort and resourcing, CET Global may agree:

  • 2 payments · 50% as first payment, 50% as final payment
  • 3 payments · 30% / 40% / 30%, with an interim stage agreed in the quotation

These are private arrangements between you and CET Global. The Programme Partner still pays the grant only at the two SWDA milestones, 30% then 70%.

SkillsFuture Enterprise Credit (SFEC) in brief

Enhanced SFEC, from 1 Dec 2026: eligible companies receive a fresh S$10,000 credit in an online wallet (complete a short workforce questionnaire to unlock it). It offsets up to 90% of your share up front instead of a refund: you pay your share after the offset, and the Programme Partner pays the grant plus your SFEC to CET Global once it approves the completion report. Credits are applied all-or-nothing up to your balance and expire on 30 Nov 2029.

Current SFEC, until 30 Nov 2026: a refund, one claim per project. 90% of your whole share if the project is completed and approved on the portal at least a week before 30 Nov 2026; otherwise 90% of your first payment only.

GST

The grant supports the project cost only; GST is not supported. 9% GST on the full project cost is payable by you, and CET Global bills it with your first payment. No GST is charged on the grant, and SFEC does not offset GST.

If the scope changes

If the approved project cost goes up or down after Milestone 1, the grant, your share and any SFEC amount are re-worked pro-rata on the revised cost and the difference is settled at the Final Milestone. Excess SFEC goes back to your wallet.

Who does what

CET Global prepares the detailed project plan and the completion report. At each milestone it invoices you for your share and the Programme Partner for the grant portion; the Partner checks the deliverables before releasing the grant. Timing of the milestones follows the project plan in your proposal.
